About Us
Geoff Ellis and I became friends when we met at Inverloch library in 2023. When Geoff shared that the iconic Waterline News went out of print due to COVID, I offered to help bring it back to life. I felt it needed updating and revamping and after a few months we had a team of three creating what you know today as The Waterline Bass Coast magazine.
We are committed to bringing our community a quality publication that caters for a wide variety of tastes with a positive, compassionate and inclusive lens.
Thomas is our style-guide, historian and a cook by trade enjoys sharing his favourite recipes.
Geoff is a professional writer, photographer and kind human who enjoys sharing his monthly meanderings in his Around The Shire section and sharing inspiring news and stories.
Jen, is the owner, editor and publisher of the magazine. A former nurse, business development and marketing manager for community housing management software, personal care attendant for some clients with dementia, cleaning business owner (Waterline Property Services) and Licenced Avatar Master. She considers it a priviledge to bring good news to the good people of the Waterline region and add value to businesses and groups who advertise with us.
Thank you for stopping by and please let us know anything you feel we could be doing better or what you particularly enjoy.

Our mission
We're on a mission to increase the amount of compassion in the world and reduce the ignorance and intolerance by raising awareness around diversity, equity and inclusion which spans environmental, race, religion, gender, and anything else that people fight over.
Our vision
A more connected and caring world where people can more and more notice the similarities we have with each the other rather than the differences.
Where beings who can't speak or stand up for themselves such as animals, plants, babies, the disabled and the elderly are treated with kindness and respect.
